Do you need some help and inspiration to see you sail smoothly through Sunday? Here are some useful tips to a successful Valentine’s.

Buy a gift

Now don’t go all over the top with this one, spend too much and you’ll be faced with forking out each and every Valentine’s. Keep it simple and heartfelt. I know, not easy but I’m sure you can think of something.

Buy a card

To forget is not an option. I know most men hate cards, and think they’re a waste of money, and hate getting paper cuts on their tongue…But the fact is MOST (excuse the sexist generalising) women love a card.

Buy flowers and chocolate

If you haven’t been too successful with point 1 (the heartfelt bit), then these are a suitable back up plan. Be prepared to pay 3 times what they will be in the shops on Monday and don’t grit your teeth when handing them over.

Cook, or Book (a table)

If you aren’t the normal house chef then it’s a great chance to give your loved one a little break and offer to cook. However, if this were likely to incur an unwanted A&E trip maybe a restaurant would be better?

Get away

A short break is the perfect way to give the best gift of all – some time to relax! Pre book £500 of wine at Calais Wine Superstore and you can have a free 3 day return ferry crossing. Oh and lots of wine, excellent!

Have some “YOU” time

And when I say you I mean together of course, in the same room, actually talking and things. Step away from the remote/ipad/computer (insert unsociable device here). You never know what may happen, particularly if you crack open some of that wine you bought on your trip!

Whatever you do, we hope you have a lovely Weekend.
