About Pinot Noir

Pinot noir is renowned for its difficulty to grow, it is susceptible to disease and sensitive to climatic differences. However, when successful it is responsible for the production of some of the worlds finest wines.
A good burgundy has the power of seduction rarely rivaled from other red wine grape varieties. It is naturally pale with a delicate hue. Depending on its age it offers charming raspberry and cherry notes, through to more gamey aromas.
You can't forget the key part Pinot noir plays in champagne, it brings depth and complexity when blended with chardonnay and pinot meunier, to produce some of the worlds finest champagnes.
