About Cabernet Sauvignon
Cabernet sauvignon is possibly the world's most famous red wine grape variety and can be found in every major wine producing country across the globe. Originally the product of an accidental crossing of cabernet franc and sauvignon blanc - the popularity of this hardy, thick skinned, easily cultivated red grape soon grew with wine producers everywhere.
Cabernet sauvignon is famous for its use in Bordeaux particularly, where it is blended with merlot to produce some of the finest wines available.
