The authorities have clearly started to get to grips

I just wanted to say, we were over in France last weekend, and it was a pleasure to come and see you again.

• You're absolutely right about the 'migrant crisis' - it really isn't a show-stopper, and nobody should worry that it might affect them unduly. The authorities have clearly started to get to grips with it.

• Your deals are superb as always. The Parra Alta stuff at 3 for £6 is a steal. I could drink that Malbec all day... but I daren't!

• Our first experience of the new tasting room was extremely pleasant!

• Great idea to include mention of fuel prices. Diesel is looking like good value in the UK right now, at about £1.12 a litre, and cheaper than petrol for the first time ever. But we filled up in France for the equivalent of 79p a litre.

Proven to be superb

Last week visited to collect wine for my daughter's wedding and wish to thank you for all your help both on Monday when we tasted and you advised and on Wednesday last when we collected. It was the least painful experience I have ever had in spending £700 on wines which have all proven to be superb in the eyes of all our family.

The prices are unbeatable...and the customer service is first class

Thanks again for the excellent service today. I'm back home now with my purchases, and apart from a quick chat at customs about it being for personal use, all is good!

I just wanted to say how impressed I've been about dealing with you guys. From first email to leaving the shop with my purchases, everything has been absolutely first class. The selection of wines is good as well; the prices are unbeatable (even amongst the local competition- and I did check) and the customer service is first class.

I estimate that the 190 bottles of wine that I bought and 24 bottles of champagne have saved me over £250 in duty alone- and that's before you take into account your good offers. I'll probably have spent an extra £10 in fuel coming to get the wines from you rather than buying them in my local Tesco: but considering I filled up in the local Carrefour and saved myself about £10 on a full tank of diesel, I'm quids in all the way!

So... thank you for all your help, your amazing customer service and your fantastic prices.

A wide selection of wines available for tasting

Just a quick note to say that everything went well yesterday and I bought 360 bottles of wine for my daughter's wedding, making it a very worthwhile trip.

I was truly impressed by the level of customer service from Calais Wine Superstore, from the initial email contact, which was really helpful, through the travel arrangements on Eurotunnel Le Shuttle, which went very smoothly, and into the experience in the store itself. The staff were extremely helpful and we had plenty of time to wander around and see what we wanted. There was a wide selection of wines available for tasting and, when I asked to taste a particular wine, (which was not in the tasting area but which I ended up buying), there was no hesitation in opening a bottle for me to sample.

Once I had made my selections, we went off for lunch and returned about an hour later, to find a trolley loaded with our goods, which was taken out to the car for us, on a palette truck.

I've already recommended your company to a friend of mine and I shall certainly return, when we need more wine. In my view it is a really well-run business with some great staff. Well done!!
