Tasting notes

Lemon and lime characters and a hint of straw combine on the nose with creamy peach and spicy vanillin oak. The palate is medium-bodied with tangy citrus and peach flavours. A creamy texture and spicy vanillin characters give complexity and length to this wine.

Production notes

The parcels of fruit and wine were kept separate until blending. The grapes were destemmed crushed and pressed with the juice then clarified in tank. Portions of both the Semillon and Chardonnay were fermented in American oak. The portion of the blend for malolactic fermentation was then inoculated and allowed to complete this secondary fermentation prior to clarification blending and bottling.

Food choice

Try with a lemon pork and noodle stir-fry.

Great value white

Dominic Bill

I liked it's balance of rich honeyed palate and vibrant acidity. Lingers in the mouth, fresh nose and full of flavour. At £2.99 it's a great value wine, worked well with a wild mushroom risotto, cutting through the creaminess.
